On Thursday, July 20, 2023, the UPT LIDA of Universitas Sumatera Utara received a benchmark visit from the MKWK Management Team of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI (UNINDRA PGRI) Jakarta. The visit was conducted as a follow-up to the letter from the Vice Rector I of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta, No. 398/WR.I/UNINDRA/VII/2023 dated July 14, 2023, in the context of the development of a project-based learning model for Compulsory University Courses (MKWK) at Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta.

The benchmark visit was conducted for one day on Thursday, July 20, 2023, with the agenda of holding discussions with the MKWK learning management team at UPT LIDA, Universitas Sumatera Utara regarding the preparation of lesson plans (RPS), the procurement of MKWK lecturers, website management, the strengthening of MKWK learning capacity, whose core curriculum consists of the courses Religion, Pancasila, Civics, and Indonesian Language, as well as the strengthening of institutional capacity and the management of Project-Based MKWK learning, and at the same time directly observing how Project-Based MKWK learning is implemented at UPT PP LIDA, Universitas Sumatera Utara, as a comparison with the Project-Based MKWK learning at Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta.

The visit activities on July 20, 2023 began with welcoming remarks and a friendly reception, followed by a discussion between the MKWK management of USU and the MKWK learning management team of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta. The benchmark visit participants from Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta totaled eight (8) people, consisting of L. Randi Ramliyana, M.Pd., Julia Bea Kurniawaty, S.H., M.H., Santyo Lilidayatmo, S.S., S.H., M.H., Apipudin, S.Ag., M.A., Dr. Enny Nurcahyawatin, M.A., M.M., Ida Rosida, M.Pd., Anggun Citra Dini Puspitasari, M.Pd., and Tri Angkarini, M.Pd., who were warmly welcomed by the Head of UPT PP LIDA USU, Prof. Dr. Timbangen Sembiring, M.Sc., the Vice Head for MKWK and General Affairs, Dr. Simson Ginting, S.Sos., MPA., and the Vice Head for MKDK and General Affairs, Drs. Nursal, M.Si., together with all six (6) MKWK Coordinators of USU, namely the Coordinator for Islamic Religion, Dra. Sahlia Hasibuan; the Coordinator for Non-Islamic Religions, Ance Marintan D.S., SP., M.Div., M.Th; the Coordinator for Indonesian Language, Dr. Ida Basaria, M.Hum; the Coordinator for Pancasila Education, Dra. Ria Manurung, M.Si.; the Coordinator for Citizenship Education, Afrita, S.H., M.Hum; and the Coordinator for Character Development, Dina Nazriani, M.A., as well as the MKWK Technical Operators of UPT PP LIDA USU, Hasby Sahendri Lubis, S.Kom, and Muhammad Ramadhan Sembiring, S.A.B. The benchmark visit concluded with the exchange of plaques and souvenirs by both parties, followed by a group photo.
